Don Taylor takes on key role

Essentia Trading has appointed Don Taylor as associate director of programme and project management.

Based in London, he will play a key part of Essentia’s strategy to win projects within the higher education and science sector, having held senior estates roles at Cambridge University and the London School of Economics.

He will also take on leadership of Essentia’s London project management team.

Essentia’s capital development team now comprises 30 consultants, split across London, Oxfordshire and East Anglia/Cambridge.

It has a substantial track record of designing, managing and delivering capital investment projects in the healthcare and science sectors for large NHS trusts, private healthcare providers, laboratories and science facilities.

The team is actively targeting projects in the life sciences, pharmaceutical and academic sectors, delivering an increasingly-diverse range of technically-challenging schemes.

Taylor is a construction project management professional with extensive experience across a wide variety of project and facility types.

Mark Halstead, director of programme and project management at Essentia, said: “Don is an exceptionally-talented project and programme manager.

“He has led major, complex and multi-disciplinary projects as contractor, consultant and client, and brings invaluable knowledge and team leadership skills.
